The plan is for Yamaha to use the can. and that is in the class structure published. But, I can't be held responsible for what happens if 453,924 people call up after Daytona and say the pipe is the greatest invention since happy hour.

| Dont change the rules after people make a choice based on the press release. I cannot afford 4 different motors. Make a choice now so I can decide what to do. This is very important to a lot of people. |

I also need to know if rt66 will be wka or US kart series rules.
Sorry for the hard questions but these two motor rules are huge difference. The cost to run both is pretty much out of reach for us. |

A lot of hype for something that has yet to be raced, yes I have seen the the test data , look good but when the tires hit the pavement that will tell the tale..
Also think of all previous pipe classes that used to a part of karting, (light & heavy) then think why to so called "soup Can" has been a main stay of karting for so long. When TaG came out it was supposed to be cheaper then the Yamaha over all....I will reserve my opinion on this pipe till after it has been ran a couple of races to see it it really is easier on the engine, clutches, etc etc...

I have to agree with Ray. If the pipe proves to be great and all then good for those of us that run Yamaha. If the series decides it is the can for a year then switch to the pipe fine. Just please don't tell us in march that we have to switch to the pipe for a race in April. I think that is what has a lot of people upset about all the changes was the short notice and then the $250.00 additional cost right before daytona. As for the tires I am all for a open manufacturer rule. Designate a compound legal from each manufacturer and lets race. I believe the NJ Sprint series does this and please correct me if I'm wrong I think it works pretty well for them.

The history of karting is littered with the remains of the "next great class".
I think most people would like to see the 21st century equivalent of can but you have to be sure you do the right thing or you could kill the class all together. Happened out West. |

Whats the age limit on Happy Hour and what weight does it run ? (hehe)

If the goal is to contain costs then don't have an open tire rule - because the result will be a trailer full of tires that work on this track but not that one, and this temp but not if it's too hot -or too cold -
let's try to take so much of the tuning out of the equation and give it back to the drivers -
The appeal of this series to us - a one kart team - is that we will all get equal track time - unlike WKA where the 3 kart teams get triple the track time on any given weekend - at triple the cost -

I have no idea what Coats will decide for tires but I know it won't be open tires. Open tires on paper is a good concept, in practice it just causes unnecessary expense, confusion and frustration. Besides, with a one set rule for most classes at USPKS the price of tires isn't a big issue. I don't miss the open tire days from yesteryear. |

I will definitely wait for the official rules, but I am very interested on running the series...............
Unfortunately, adding weight to the Tag Masters, it will be a deal breaker for me........ I cannot afford to put more weight , even at 380, it is too heavy ............
I hope it stays at 380 Lbs.....
