Don't have a real gas station around here. Is there a way to evaporate ethanol out of pump gas?

Thanks,
Gif Cool

YMMV...
http://www.ehow.com/how_7830109_remove-ethanol-gasoline.html
But I've heard that phase separation causes some other issues:

Could do a phase separation, then run the resulting gas through a chamois for the final water straining... Be advised octane number will drop, however... Smile

I was told once that marinas still sell fuel without all the ethanol. I've never looked into it though.

Oh, and forgot to menton, stop at your local municipal airport -- they'll have 100LL, probably. Mine does, and pretty cheap.

Yes most (not all) marine pumps are non ethanol. You could also go to a local cycle shop that deals in dirt bikes and get pre packaged 5 gal race fuels. A little pricey but not outrageous. Also most tracks Kart or auto have fuel.

Stay away from ethanol it's nothing but trouble.

I'm kinda leery of a race fuel distributor talking about how bad avgas is....

Also realize that's about all they run in karts and bike in Europe, and understand that avgas in 2 stroke, actually helps suppress detonation...

As compared to low octane, unleaded, 10% alky pump gas, I'll take avgas any day...

If you're talking oxygenated race fuels, now that's a different story...

Well, why didn't you say so!!!!

Power Mist in northern Jersey used to make some stuff called Tool Fuel. It was developed when someone died because a fireman's demo saw I believe it was, wouldn't start because the fuel was stale..... I guess it's like adding Stabil to the fuel, except if this is the only fuel you use, it will always be protected from going stale.
