The lights kart classes bounce around way more that the hvy. My 385 lbs kart was a tough drive vs the planted 400 lbs stocker. Also at 132 lbs I bet you feel it more than most of us fatty's. You and my 155 lbs brother need to eat more sir.
With the colder temps and lack of grip I think it felt rougher some because the car moves more but from what I remember about last time it's was about the same. No matter how rough it is that track does seem to stay pretty consistent over the years for as many groups that run on it.
Was Laguna smooth or did it seem rough to you guys last time? When we ran that track in the 250's many years ago it was a MX track even though they had just paved it.

Sears has a couple of bumps, Laguna is smoother. Miller is baby butt.

Laguna is way more smoother than Sonoma. I noticed LAST year that Sonoma was gettng rougher. Like Hegar sez, it's not bad for all the use it gets, but it's still pretty rough. At least it's smoother than RFR!

Largest bumps at about 1/2 way uphill to turns 7/8, and apex of 12 can both be avoided by driving around them. This fatty is not aware of any others that are on the standard racing line and an issue.
Streets of Willow is the dictionary definition of bumpy race course. Even this fatty had problems with the bumps. |

Sonoma just felt alot more bouncy this time than before. I bounced off and almost lost it twice, had to drive around it every lap. Ive always weighed the same.
Anyhow, Laguna is superb. like every turn feels sculpted. Smooth. Maybe just slightly not on turn 9.
the whole track is like this, Classy quality track throught. Chris, leave your icc's at home!
Also, seeing vids from Lonestar GP, makes most of us glad we didnt make the trip. that is not karting surface to run on at all.

We will only run stock due to limited time at that event. They are however so much more fun to drive.

quick story, i went down to the 2010 buttonwillow nationals or whatever year that was and I went out in practice with the gas gas 250.... i floated through the cotton corners and went bounce bounce bang and was airborne the last part of the corner and put it off bigtime in the weeds... went out the next session and did the exact same thing third session same thing....took me about four sessions before i realized in a 250 you need to go bounce bounce lift steer left go airborne come down drift back in the throttle stay on track, now thats a rough corner the bumps around most other tracks dont compare.
