| Yes. I was able to do the same with a standard F150 bed, folding the tailgate down, using the extender shown in the link you have provided and able to slide your toolbox in as well. No problem. |

Well I'm not sure, but I know my kart fits in my 95 Chevy Tahoe with the seats down and side pods off.
Your major concern is width, you might have to take off wheels or side pods. |

| 8Ft bed here on a 2010 Ram, I can't speak to length but the rear tires wouldn't go past the wheel arches in the bed. Everything else fit fine. '08 Kosmic T-11 at 54" rear width. |

I'm looking at a Tacoma with the small bed (5ft vs 6 ft), so small-ish pickup size trucks. I figured with the pods removed I could leave the wheels on and the rear wheels could fit on the tailgate with the bed extender holding everything in (and obviously tie the kart down).
If that fit the next issue would be protecting against rain. After the tonneau cover the rear would still be exposed. I suppose a kart cover would be enough but maybe there are other options? _________________ CKR/KZ

I can put my kart in the back of my truck . Before I'd have to take the spoiler off so the front tire could push against the wheel wells but don't even have to do that now with the new style body on my kart. I use to straps to hold it in. Tools and supplies in the tool box kart stand up against the tool box!

Thanks Michael! That's what I'm looking for. I think the Tacoma would have a wider bed then whatever that truck is.
Anyone else have some experience with this? _________________ CKR/KZ

Buy a couple of these to protect your investment when traveling
They handle the weather and are adjustable , I have two of 6 ft'er and they will fit through the trucks factory tie downs

Here's mine in the back of my Ridgeline. Front bumper off, sidepods off and wheels pushed all the way in. The rears won't clear the sides of the bed, so they sit against the edges.
You can probably compare the bed size of the Ridgeline to the Tacoma to get a better idea.

| If wheel wells are a problem you could build wood ramps to go over them. |
