I have an extra exhaust pipe for my PV100 which has a bulge in the middle, slightly different from a regular leopard pipe. Can this pipe be used on a different 100cc motor? Specifically on a 100cc reed valve? Any difference? I know it won't hurt the motor, I am just wondering about the pipe design.

Thanks

Kirk

Hi Kirk,

Are there any letters or numbers on the pipe? Usually added by writing with the welder.

Then we can tell you lots.

A piston port pipe is allot different than a reed pipe but you could use it if you just want to muffle the engine noise.

Kirk,

We ran the JICA pipe on a Leopard and it worked great! The stock Leopard pipe is basically a muffler whereas the JICA pipe has an expansion chamber (thought small) like RLV pipes for KT100. It definitely helped the Leopard out. Give it a try.

BTW, We spoke to Jim Russell about it and he said "No problem, go for it"

I don't know what the flex was set at though, sorry.

GB

PS-that pipe won't muffle the sound Wink Very Happy

Yeah if its a JICA pipe it should be fine. Its its some crazy whacko american thing I dont know but we used to swap pipes between the 100cc euro stuff all the time. May not be optimal but it will work safely.
