| I like the idea is draining though also especially if not running every weekend. |

Cesar I put a little white vinegar in the water 1 Cup and it keeps the corrosion in check or use distilled water.
In France the vinegar is easyer to find

I don't think french fries will help with corrosion. _________________ Randy

| Rubber sponge blocks about 20 mm square by 10 mm thick around the center area of the radiator provide sufficient support without block much air flow. |

They eat Chips(fries) with vinegar in England. Here they eat them with Mayo I eat them with Catsup!

Why? |
Draining after a track/race day & refilling prior is simple, easy, & provides a little insurance against corrosion from water sitting static inside the cooling system, esp. for long periods. The guys at IMUSA highly recommended it, & I've been doing so with positive results.

You know, it's really okay for people to disagree. Especially when the subject matter is karting, where nothing really counts anyway. Here's my experience: you can leave the water in your kart all year. Nothing will happen. I've done that for at least ten years. Changing water is a complete and utter waste of time. _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

Joseph, just to be clear though, what kind of water are you using? and are you mixing it with water wetter or similar?
It is my understanding that the sediments in plain water will cause rust inside the radiators over time? |

It really makes no difference. You can replace the water in your radiator every day or replace it whenever you have to, which is what I do and there will never ever be any difference. _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

No wonder you guys are having corrosion problems, I only run quality water...mixed with hops and a few other ingredients.
