And be sure there's a gap between the screen and radiator so rocks will deform the screen before damaging the radiator.

So how does that work in the center part of the radiator?

like i said in my post, i did mine with Stainless steel wire mesh and it works great,i did throw a rock at it as hard as i could and it barely left a dent on the wire much less the rad.

I'll take it for what it's worth, but there isn't any support on the middle section of that screen, and wire mesh doesn't make a very good support member Very Happy so unless you have a 1 inch gap between the screen and the rad fins, I don't think it much matters. Besides that screen that was suggested from Pegasus Racing, a 6x6 .035 ss mesh, is only about 60% open, meaning your $300 radiator is being starved of about 40% of it's airflow....

Just saying.....

This is how "low" I have installed to keep a LOG.

Bottom bracket without any spacers since I was able to slide the mount

Top Mount. Using 75mm bolt on CRG.

It should be mounted up higher and out further.

Your left arm will block most of the radiator when your in the seat and maybe a little higher so its in the direct air.
You've got the room to move it over!

Also your bolt on the bottom isn't long enough just a little longer so it goes past the nyloc.

Thanks michael, yes I agree I need to go back and get new bolt this week.
I will have to move it up a little more if I am going to bring it out more to clear the side pod. Too bad, I wanted to keep to as low as possible.

I have a question for anyone. Don't these radiators get damaged (corrosion) from using plain water?

Drain the cooling system completely when you get home after a day at the track. I installed drains in the hoses at the lowest points in the system to accommodate quick & easy coolant removal, so it only takes ~3 mins to flush the cooling system. I got the 5/8" capped drain T's from a Prestone system flush kit.

Water Wetter (or similar), also provides some level of anti-oxidation protection & raises the boiling point.

I think it was water wetter that I called and the said to run anti freeze then drain. They said it coats the alum radiator to prevent corrosion
