Leopard/Tillotson Carb/ KG Cobra Intake
I notice when doing my post track cleanup of the kart, that there is a bit of fuel sitting at the bottom of my KG Cobra Intake and it leaks out the bottom at times. I always open up the intake and clean it. I tend to run the kart rich and conservative and can imagine fuel going into the box, but I am just being cautious to ensure that something is not wrong.
Appreciate the help guys!
-Matt

yep, i had the same in our leopard, by the way, i was advised by those for more knowledgeable than me to ditch that cobra airbox and run the standard leopard airbox and i did, motor seemed to be more responsive to fine tuning with the standard airbox than with the cobra airbox Smile

Thanks Jeff! Do you have fuel move into the stock box as well?

still have a little but you're gonna have there one way or the other, especially if you tend to run real rich on 1 or both needles, i'm at work now but if I think about it i'll send you my needle settings tomorrow, of course you probably won't want to set yours as close,,,,,,,,,,, Wink

Thanks Jeff. Shoot me a PM with the needle settings if you remember. I start both at 1.5 and tune down slowly throughout the day. Just hate getting close to too lean...that and I am still learning a lot on the track.
Also it looks like we arent far from each other if you are in Cocoa. OKC is my home track and live not too far (520/528-Wedgefield). Always trying to meet up and make new track friends! I have yet to see another Leopard at OKC haha

13/4 to 2 on the low, 7/8 on the high

Normal to have a bit of fuel in the box, but, as far as ditching the cobra box, I'm personally not a fan either, but if you resort back to the stock box keep in mind you are losing some air inlet opening. The cobra box has... I don't remember 30mm openings? and the stock leopard box as 28mm? openings or something. I.E. less air, marginally less power to be made.

Also I'd run a filter in the stock box if you run a stock box.

edit: My memory for air inlet openings is crap

You can get the cobra box with either 23mm or 30mm inlets.
