Hello Forum,

Currently somebody is offering me a chassis but i dont know how it stands out amongst others. İt is from Mach1 and called the Fia9- Rotax/KF. Anyone that has used it or have any kind of knowledge about this chassis. Previously i used a Tonykart EVRR how will this chassis stand out against my previous kart.

Thank You

Batuhan

Batuhan,

With all due respect to the person offering you the Mach 1, I would stick with your current kart. What you already have is widely supported, and is known to be one of the best performing karts money can buy.

As far as I know Mach 1 doesn't have a formal dealer network in North America, and parts are not readily available. So should you ever crash the Mach 1, or need spares, it's going to be a long wait from Europe.

If you find yourself in need of any help with your Tony Kart, feel free to contact me and I would be more than happy to help.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply but i think i forgot to mention something, i am going to use this chassis in the UK and the teams there(at least my team) do support the brand so i have no problem with using the Mach1. However i have never used them in action, so i am unsure about the responsiveness and performance of the chassis. The performance compared to a Tonykart, that is my question:)

Thank You

Batuhan

Since the Mach 1 doesn't have the infrastructure State-side, like Ryon said, there is probably very few people here that have experience with them. That being said, I would make a post over at karting1.co.uk. Since the Mach1 and the Tony Karts have a good presence there, you may find some that have experience enough to be able to contrast the two.

Good luck!

Ocala Gran prix here in Florida is currently testing with the Mach 1 as it was selected as DD2 chassis for Rotax World Final in portugal this yr. You may want to contact OGP and check with them.

Hope this helps you.

The Mach 1 chassis were very nice when I drove them, though it was several years ago now (I had an FIA 6 and an FIA 1 evo). The FIA 1 was for ICA and FIA 6 for Rotax.

The components were really the best of the karts I have owned and seen. For the brakes this is especially true. I would not hesitate to drive one again.

I feel they were extremely responsive when tuning, almost to a fault. Very fine adjustments in front end alignment proved to give the desired results and never did I find myself in a situation where I desired more adjustment from the kart.

I drove Tony Karts for many years and won many races and championships with them. They are good go karts and I would buy another Tony Kart, but the Mach 1 had better components. You should at least drive one and see for yourself.

Edit: Jeff, Peter, OP stated he is running the chassis in the UK
