If the price is right thats a good way to go for practice. Add 6oz per gal and let her rip. For racing there might be a spec fuel though so bear that in mind. _________________ CES Grattan pre-entry is open. TaG, Shifter, KPV, KT100, Animal\LO206, enduro or superkart.

Since 110 is pricey, save some cash by mixing 2 gal of generic pump 92 with 3 gal of the 110 "race" (assuming you have a 5 gal gas can). That mix will yield a ~98 oct (close enough) equivalent to what you'd be running if you opted to race.
Saving money & not having to mess with jetting is a win-win. |

| 65$ for 5 gallons that last awhile i safer then cutting it and try and save few bucks, plus you need to learn jetting, since you will do it often. |

Thanks everyone for your posts. I was able to locate a VP dealer in Tampa, FL
What exact fuel do I need though... I have heard C12 is better than MS98.....
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks Everyone! |

Let me ask a question; do you know what “octane” is, or what it means?
If you don’t need it, it will not help. In fact, it might be slower. High octane isn’t going to hurt your engine, but it could hurt your performance. _________________ If the data does not support the theory, get a new theory. (Al Nunley)

| yes i know what octane is, my background is import drag car making 1000hp on 122 cu and running the right fuel octane is key, your totaly right octane reading is not the only thing, some fuel we tested in higher octane made less power, but gravity, and how fast it burns is important, im more if it runs strong reliable and the inside looks like new after major abuse, you got good fuel, i will try the ms98 very soon and will see. |

Most people don't have the tech to measure specific gravity, & mixing based on octane rating is a satisfactory metric. I know plenty of locals that mix fuel oct for practice use (myself included) with good results. OTOH, if the engine is modded, then it may not be the best option. |

Did you ever run at the Naples, FL kart track? I ran a few practice days there a number of years ago, and it was fun. Based on what Google Earth shows now, it has been in disrepair for quite a while. Was about 48 miles or so S. of the Civic Center track. You can see what is left of it with satellite view on GE or Google Maps, .65 miles East of the intersection of Collier Boulevard and The Lord's Way, on Freedom Circle. Bummer when a track goes away, nice when a new one opens! |
