Everyone is thinking about you Mike! The word has spread everywhere of course.
As Jason noted there aren't really adequate words but know that you have our thoughts and prayers. |

| How's Mike? I hope his prognosis (sp) is good. Glad to hear that he is going to be at NJMP. It wouldn't have been the same without him at least there. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. |

Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well. I want to first thank everyone for their well wishes. Here's an update: I went to the hospital yesterday and unfortunately I didn't get the news I wanted. I can NOT get surgery yet. I still have too much swelling and my skin is not ready for an operation yet. So for another week I have to be on bed rest. Same drill leg up and I cant move unless to take a piss. They want to see me again next week and if everything goes well I can have surgery days after. They told me that after surgery I can NOT, under any circumstance put any pressure on the foot what so ever for 3 months. After that I can try little by little to put pressure on it . I would still be in a cast for 3-6 months. They said it will take me 8 months to a year to heal. You can imagine the frustration I am feeling. So I look at it like this, The doctors say a year I SAY with my stubborn and persistent ass 6 months. With the surgery being pushed up another week making NJMP will be hard but I will try my hardest to be there. No excuses everyone make sure your all there and have fun. I'll keep you posted. _________________ www.neShifterKartSeries.com

All I can add to this is that not a single word of the above quote is exaggerated, he really is one of the best guys in the paddock. It's a pleasure to know him, and this news is devastating.
Get well Mike; but at the same time, don't force yourself too hard and make things worse!

So guys, Got some good news/ bad news. They decided to schedule the operation (good news) but the bad news is its Next Fri. Oct. 26. Which obviously means I will not be able to attend. Looks to me its gonna be the baddest race of the year. Wrist is doing ok, crooked but ok. The pins and rod are still in so my mobility is limited for now. I have no wrist movement but Doctors say that I should be able to make a fist in a month. Seems realistic. My heel on the other hand is just plain EFFED up. I knew it was bad but as I found out yesterday its a little more serious then I thought. My recovery after surgery will be crucial. I was told that I damaged it so bad that surgery will be hard and that if I dont do exactly what they tell me I am at high risk for infection which you all know is not a good thing. I think the doctors are doing an awesome job. Just really freakin sucks. On the other hand I guess I really shouldnt be complaining cause I'm alive. My sponges baths have been fun ( from my wife of course).lol. Thanks again for the continued well wishes. _________________ www.neShifterKartSeries.com
