| My son drives a TAG leopard and have always used VP98 fuel. Does anyone have any experience with VP M8-1 fuel versus VP 98? or how about the new VP T4 fuel? Any improvement or advantage? Fuel at our local track is open so we can use anything. |

If fuel is not a spec item at your track then use pump gas... it costs less than half of the price of race gas and runs as good or in some cases better. The Leopard is not a high compression engine that requires high octane fuel and I run them on 91 octane unleaded gas here in So Cal. all the time.
The race gas is required by many clubs because it is easy to tech, not because it runs better or is better for the engine.

The owners manual suggests a minimum octane of 98. you may need more in hotter climates. The problem with pump gas is it contains a lot of additives for automobile use and can get you DQ'd at a race. Ok for practice days. _________________ Patrick Hubbell |
