I'm trying to setup 04 CRG Road Rebel. I can't seem to find and easy or even good way to set the rear ride on this chassis. On my other chassis I usually put a shim, like a allen key under the cassette and on top of the frame rail. The CRG has a tube that attaches the 2 right rails, this weld is in the way of putting a shim there.

not sure what your doing, but no one else has answered you either.
all up or all down is mostly what you do for ride height. most of the time on the CRG i start with the axle all the way up and the chassis will be lowered.

I kinda figured that.... I have a really loose kart and was told the factory starting point is all the way down, meaning high rear ride hieght....

would there be any damage to the axle or chassis is somewhere where to run a kart with an uneven ride height on the rear?
I posted on another thread but this one seems more adequate.
I bought a used chassis ; A CRG road rebel shifter. I noticed tonight that the motor side of higher than the non motor side. My question was is this an ideal setup considering the weight of the motor? But somethings tells me the rear axle or rear ride height should be the same from side to side on a sprint chassis. |

Chris, Lower the chassis (by raising the axle). I've never seen a fast CRG with the rear ride height up. 
They shouldn't even bother making that adjustable. CRGs like a bit of a reverse rake, higher up front and lower in the rear. Gives more front bite.

That was some time ago, in another time, and I lived in another state!!! And yes it is faster that way, it's a subtle adjustment to the caster I believe. Everything in that RR chassis is a compromise, it was designed for a really grippy Euro track, not a slick US track... It has waaaaay, too much front grip for me.....
