|

Guys,
I have two engines but only one kart. I want to find another kart to build over the winter so that I will have two for next season. For around $2200, I have found one or two 2010/11 GP10/GP8 rollers. I have also come across a CRG Kalifornia (2008) for around $1600. I guess I am asking which chassis is a better deal? I know that's hard to answer. If there's not much difference in the chassis, I am going to buy the CRG. The big advantage to the GPs is that they already have VEN05 brakes which I hear are the way to go. I'd want to upgrade the Kalifornia to the same brakes so ultimately the cost of the two options will be pretty close. Any advice/opinion is welcome here.
Thanks,
Todd |

| crg is out of the question 08 was a good year for crg but only for the road rebel, the gp10 you have to be careful of depending on what "dot" it is one dot or three dot or hard rail. for the Gp10 the hard rail is the only good chassis and as far as the gp8 you have to becareful of who you buy it from because there was a limited run of the 2011 gp8's actualy there was only about ten made. the differences in the chassis are extremely small actualy only a 1 cm or so wider in the front end it doesnt make a difference at all iv driven both the old and the new gp8 and developed the chassis with Aluminos (the only race team that has the new gp8). I know of everyone who has the new gp8 because I spent alot of quality time with aluminos and only aluminos customers have the new gp8 |

Cory,
Thanks for the advice. I did not fully follow you on the GP8/10. Are you saying only look for a "hard rail"? If so, how do you identify it? |

| The gp chassis will natrually be better because it is newer and used less. Go with the gp its overall a nicer newer kart and will have better responsiveness. It sounds like a great deal anyways. Is that local or shipped? |
