I am considering getting a Tony Kart in a couple months, going to be running Rotax Max Masters @ 405lbs. Would you recommend going with the Krypton of the Racer EVRR? I have heard things like the EVRR is faster, but will wear out/bend real quick at this weight. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Who are you buying your Tony Kart from?? Maybe ask them which chassis would be best suited for you..

Last year in Max Masters P1 and P2 were on EVRR with P3 and P4 on Kryptons at the track I am going to be running. I suppose that means the EVRR is better, but if I am needing a new frame every 5 or 6 races, I can't afford that, so in my case it would probably slow way down after it is "worn out", right?

Either the Racer EVRR or Krypton is capable of winning given setup and driving ability. I think its more important to make sure you get a good clean kart and get some help hitting the sweet spot you need for the track that you will be running.

Hey Dan, I have had both. If you can afford to buy a new chassis every 6 races, buy the 30mm, if not like me get the 32. 400 + pounds is too much for the 30mm. You will loose nothing and will gain longevity. call me when you get a chance. Michael Sachs

Yeah Johnny Blair who is at Worlds, races a Krypton with us. He is very competitive in our Senior class, so you can really make them go fast. I'd get the Krypton due to the longevity and strength.

Thanks for all of the replies. I ended up getting a brand new 32mm FA kart. Now time to start the testing.

For Masters. 32mm Krypton is much better.

EVRR is a little too soft for 400lbs.
