|
|
Hello PKC racers -
As part of our growing partnership with Superkarts! USA, that will see us become their 'Official Media Partners', we will be producing season previews for all of their regional ProKart Challenge series. Right now, we'll be kicking things off with the flagship ProKart Challenge in California. If you are planning to race at the season opener at Buttonwillow on February 10-11, please post here with your class, race number and equipment information, or send us an e-mails with the same info (news@ekartingnews.com).
We're working on the preview now, so it will be ready to publish next Wednesday. _________________ Rob Howden

We were at Buttonwillow testing for round one of PKC, the place was packed.
People were pitting out in the grass because the pit area was full. Next weekends PKC event will be awesome. |

Don't forget Pre-Entry closes tonight.
If I am up late I will even extend it a few hours past midnight. Take a look at the PitMap. Its going to be a full house.

I will be broadcasting the Race-Monitor to the internet, we won't be providing it via wifi, so you'll need internet access on whatever device you will be using.
If enough people request it, I would probably go through the trouble of getting a WIFI Access Point up. _________________ www.dromophotos.com |

| Wow that's one packed paddock! Should make for some huge classes. Is the race monitor by karting coach Inc? |

Yes, that's the one. We ran it at Streets of Lancaster and SuperNats last year, but will run it at all PKC and ProTour races. _________________ www.dromophotos.com |

| Jimmy will win in S1. Wayne will win in S4. Hayashi will DNF in S4 - due to electronics. |

Beating any of the S1 crop would be very impressive. There are expected to be eight S1 drivers in the 20-kart combined S1/S2 field, including the last two PKC S1 champions (Dunford and Schoombee), last year's Buttonwillow S1 race winner (Beachner), the reigning back-to-back S4 PKC and Pro Tour champion (McNeil), the 2011 SKUSA ProTour S2 champion (Hathcox), last year's PKC S2 champion and Pro Tour S2 race winner (Freytag) and an S2 winner from last year's SummerNationals (Milne).
Talk about a stout field.
That said, running S1 and S2 together like this is a great test for the S2 pilots, as well as a solid barometer of their speed. SKUSA will be watching every weekend for the drivers who may become eligible for an A License in 2013. _________________ Rob Howden

| Agreed w/ everything you wrote - it would be great to see this race! I think highly of Billy Musgrave and I think/hope he will do well. |

A late entry in S2 is Logan Manus on an AMV with Swedetech Honda. Logan will run the entire series this year.
Best of luck! _________________ Dave Lehmann
