|
|
| Ok, what is the best clutch for a Briggs LO206 in sprint racing? Our club in Canada just added the class. The rules say the clutch is open as long as it is a shoe type with 3 shoes and 9 springs max. Anyone have any experience with a clutch they like or more importantly don't like? |

As far as drum clutches go ,I like the Premier Stinger. Decent price , serviceable , nice engagement. keep some springs handy and / or a spare cartridge. Most consistent drum clutch I've seen. Since I race WF and we must use the Premier Titan I've become very acquainted with Premier's product line ! _________________ I breathe ,therefore,I race |

American Power Sports ( Ohio ) or J.C. Specialty ( Pa. ) ,both are great companies to do business with. Comet Kart Sales ( also great !) carries the premier line also. I've also found it best to use Premier clutch sprockets on Premier clutches. Trust me on that one. _________________ I breathe ,therefore,I race |

The Premier Stinger is a good clutch and I especially like the Noram GE clutch. Cheap easy to maintain and it works well.
I have had good luck with both. _________________ OK everyone It's my opinion only, no one elses, and does not reflect any organization or office that I belong to or hold. Thank you for your support.

I race the 206 class and use the Noram GE clutch and have had zero problems. You can run the clutch inboard or out. The cost is about $65 for the complete clutch and I think APS is having a sale for around $50. The GE is perfect for the 206 class with the purpose of holding the cost down and keeping things simple. You can't beat the GE for the 206 class for dependability and cost. You don't need anything more complex. _________________ swampwater smyth concurs "If you aint first, yer last."
