So, I moved with Wisconsin expecting to see some WF racing and I haven't found a track yet that offers WF racing. They make Briggs here!
Anyway, I'm writing to ask if anyone here knows where there may be some WF racing?
I love 2 cycle racing but the WF seemed pretty low maintenance and with my busy schedule and New Years resolution about kart related spending, I'm thinking the WF would be a good engine for occasional racer. |

Matt ,drop Jim Frantz a line at www.fastermotors.net, if anyone knows about Wisconsin he will. I know they race them there , there is a fellow that is planning on racing his WF with us in Phoenix in March and April who is bringing his WF from Wisconsin. Is it cold there ? _________________ I breathe ,therefore,I race |

Bob & Reagan Vehring are great Wisconsin resources too.

Or you can go straight to the source, Dave Klaus at Briggs.
Drop him a PM from here.
If you're close to Badger

you might want to look into Ltd. Modified Animal. Easy to maintain and a little more power than WF.

Hey Matt, how's it going, what part of Wisconsin did you end up in? I'm sure you already figured it out but the World Formula is mostly out here on the West Coast (and a few pockets on the east coast) and the Animal a mid west deal. Since you ran 2 cycles your best bet would be a KT100 (lots of used engines available for a good price) since its pretty much the back bone of sprint racing and most tracks back there have a class for them and usually get good participation.
I'd stay away from a Animal Ltd as very few tracks run them and since WKA dropped the class from Gold Cup a couple of years ago there's not much activity. |
