Looks like the Champ is on his game. Who can dethrone him? Its gonna be a long season for the rest of the field. NASCAR haters need not reply! _________________ #425 TaG Masters |

He got pretty lucky that he got through the pits out in front of the leaders for that caution. And also that Harvick got anxious and scraped the wall when he got to his bumper. Harvick was a missile at the end there. That's how Harvick seems to be, just kinda hangs around and then at the end he comes out of nowhere and is just a rocket.
How about Scott Speed? He had a great day. _________________ T.J. Koyen

don't know if anyones noticed but for the last several years you can pretty much tell who will win the championship by the amount of luck they have throughout the season. i remember when kenseth won it a few years ago he got a flat at sears point (usually will ruin your day at a road course). the tire went down just before the entrance to pit road. he ended up gaining spots because of the flat and how the cautions fell later. he had a few 'fortunate' instances that year and won the championship. over the last few tears JJ has had the best luck of anyone out there. i'm not saying they didn't deserve it but the luck they got was unbelievable. 2 weeks ago at daytone i forgot what happened early in the race but he lucked out there, although he had bad luck later. then the pit incident yesterday. looks like he is on his way to a 5th championship. _________________ Blaise Haynes

Pretty lucky? Real lucky! Sometimes that's what it takes. It was a great race. There was a rain delay that seemed odd because it wasn't raining all that much. I didn't even get wet nor did I have to break out the poncho. If the skies had opened up Scott Speed would have won the race. Same thing at Daytona. He'd have two wins and be on top. Luck didn't go his way. He raced real hard and stayed on the lead lap the whole day. Hopefully he will stay on top of his game and if he finishes all his races, doesn't get wrecked out, he'll have a good year. I was hoping to see a replay of the race. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

| Bad race for Jr. Not a good track for him normally but he just couldn't do anything to improve during the race. Speeding on pit road and that axle problem didn't help. |

remember the first 5 or 10 races last year jr. had several pit problems, from speeding to loose lug nuts, to missing his pit box, etc. hope he gets it figured out soon.
i'm curious to see how the new spoiler will affect things. that might change the whole complexion of NASCAR. i'm sure many drivers won't miss a beat, but i wonder if some of those will struggle to figure it out, or if somebody like jr. will instantly love it. can't wait to see. _________________ Blaise Haynes

I'd rather be lucky than good. You can always make yourself better, but you can’t make yourself luckier! |

Being both is what makes you win championships. It seems that the better you are the luckier you get. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

"Yes, we were lucky today. But you don't get lucky and win four championships and 48 races." Quote Jimmie Johnson.
Scott Speed also had a great day.I think Harvick and Martin are the 2 that could poss. dethrone the champ. _________________ #425 TaG Masters |

Harvick gets quote of the week in the post race interview when talking about the 48 teams' luck:
"......the 48 team has a golden horseshoe up their a**."
