I see the lounge is down for non-racing discussion. It has gotten rather ugly lately, much like our actual political leaders.
I respect ekn's right to limit discussion to racing-related topics. Yet I will miss the banter-without-viciousness that made the Lounge my favorite place to visit during my web-surfing day.
Is the Lounge gone forever or can we discuss a return a civility, |

All I am saying is eliminating the lounge may PO some of your subscribers .I fail to see the rhyme or reason to it . If you don't like the content don't READ it _________________ Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting, "Holy **** what a ride!!!". |

Hey Bob,
Although we are 180 degrees politically, I like to think that you would lend me a part or tool at the track and I would do the same. That is what makes racing cool, and I think it is the spirit we need to get back to.
EKN hasn't cancelled this thread...maybe there is hope. |

Here's the way I see it guys: the death of the lounge was attributable to the bad behavior of a pretty small group of people. In that group, I'd include you Bob as well as Thom. If it makes that easier to swallow, I'll include myself as well. Now I'm absolutely willing to reform my behavior, and would in fact prefer it. But are you willing to up your game Bob? As in no more "POS" and no more "Obammy"? _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

I for one am glad the lounge is gone, it made us (kart racers) look like a bunch of social mis-fits and argueing jerks, both liberals and conservatives. This forum will be better without it. _________________ farmerbill |
