Greetings folks, admin.
Just wondering if and how the progress is coming along on the multimedia additions to the site. Looking forward to it!!!
May Ekartingnews be the multimedia portal into the karting world
Best of luck.

The multimedia is an absolutely fantastic addition to the web services. Three cheers to the ekartingnews team for adding this feature!
Not only does it bring improved visibility to the karting community, it starts the tour of karting into another dimension of promotion.
Multimedia is still in its infancy. Entering now assures a secure footing in the process evolution in the net industry. |

Thanks, John.
We're certainly learning how all the video stuff works and will be making improvements as time goes by.
I tell you, that helmet cam stuff rocks! Kudos to Jeff for figuring out how to make it work in such short notice in Oklahoma.
We'll be taking it to Vegas this weekend as Brian and I run a Rotax race at LVKC.

The Magic Cam clips use Quicktime. To view them, download the Quicktime player from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
It works on all forms of Windows (though I'm having a bit of difficulty on XP) and of course the Mac and allows you to view virtually any type of media content from the Quciktime player. From a media streaming technical standpoint, it's perhaps the best one out there.
The clips are awesome, check it out...

Kevin (and Mike),
As mentioned in the press release, the clips are in a Quick Time format. You should be able to easily download Quick Time 5 from the following website:
QT 5
After getting the plugin, then try viewing the videos.
(Edited: Thanks Dave, you beat me by two minutes!)

Unfortunately when I try to run the quick time installer, a message "system administrator required" comes up. I'm at work

Excellent!!!!! Looks great and I 'selfishly' hope it keeps current when possible
Only one, tiny Q.... Why the QuickTime? WMP has greater detail and is used by everyone, well because 'ole Billy implemented it into Windowz.... heh.
But make no mistake, they look GREAT as they are. Just more common and user friendly with WMP.
Keep it up, its mucho appreciated here!
