I am looking at getting an EasyKart to run in TAG, but primarily, I want to run the kart in road race with SCK. I would like to know what is the reliability of the motor, how many hours of use before rebuilds, what model chassis is it that Birel sells for the EasyKart. It sounds like EasyKart can be very competitive and low cost, making this very attractive to those who want to race for fun. |

My only caution would be to check with your club for the road races and make sure they do not require a 'dual brake' set-up for their tag class...otherwise, for the price you can't go wrong!

Hi Wayne, I think the Birel model is an R30. It handles very good, but is also very soft. I have one in my garage that is bent severely from a minor shunt to the rear tire of someone on a warmup lap. I don't use'm any more for that reason. Also probably not a good isea for a bigger driver.(I'm 5'11'', 180) The kart would flex too much. Hope that helps,Bye _________________ www.NetKarts.com |

Mike,
It is an R-30. They go plenty fast and the price point is very attractive. Like yours, my concern is the "bigger driver" aspect.
Wayne, see above, as you qualify as a "bigger driver".
