In the midst of all the sorrow and shock from the attacks in this country, the Mo-Kan series, KART and karting lost a strong supporter and long time member of the karting family.
Mel Bussard lost his battle against cancer on September 10th. It is with a heavy heart for to have hear this. It was Mel who was there on several occaions when I first took over as a series director to help, support and take over when I could not fininsh the first year.
Please say a prayer for his family.
Thanks

Sorry about your loss, I didnt know him but, it sounds that the Karting community has lost a great supporter and we need more people like him. I hope you will wish his family well from all of us in the karting community. |

Mel Buzzard was a great guy. I will miss his calm reasoning, along with every thing else I knew about him. To Jackie and the kids, if there is any thing I can do for you, do not hesitate to call me.
Mel, I hope to see you again, at the finish line.
