SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29
The World Karting Association Daytona KartWeek completed the first day of racing action Saturday at the Daytona International Speedway with the George Kugler/Bridgestone Manufacturer’s Cup Series and the Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series - both driven by Mazda. The Margay Sprint Championships is well over 600 entries and making the day long for competitors and staff. Numerous delays in practice and qualifying force WKA officials to cut Prefinal races and make the Finals 18 laps with racing ending just before 6pm. The Elite Karting Championships had no red flag issues like they did on Friday practice, with a number of great races around the high-banks.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28
The World Karting Association Daytona KartWeek officially got underway today at the Daytona International Speedway with a full day of practice for the George Kugler/Bridgestone Manufacturer’s Cup Series and the Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series - both driven by Mazda. The Margay Sprint Championships is soaring over 600 entries and continuing to rise while the Elite Karting Championships numbers increased with a busy registration building Friday morning.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27
The sound of karts buzzing around and inside the Daytona International Speedway will be heard once again this weekend as the World Karting Association returns to the historic venue for the 2007 Daytona KartWeek. The George Kugler/Bridgestone Manufacturer’s Cup Series and the Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series - both presented by Mazda - will compete at the Daytona Beach facility after a one year hiatus while the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series returns to the Volusia Speedway Park in Deleon Springs for the Dirt World Championships and Winter Nationals.
