The WKA Briggs and Stratton Gold Cup West are pleased to announce an exciting addition to the Series final on August 13 at Santa Maria - the first annual Briggs and Stratton World Formula National Championship. 2006 Champions will be crowned in all three World Formula Gold Cup West Classes WF Junior, WF Light and WF Heavy.
The race at Santa Maria will be run in the regular Gold Cup West format. As well as racing for the 2006 championship the World Formula Classes will be battling for the 2006 World Formula National Championship. WKA Eagles will be presented to the Winner’s. Punch races are not required so all World Formula Karters are invited.
The August 13 race at Santa Maria also is the last round of the 2006 Gold Cup West championship series. All of the regular classes will be competing, including the popular Briggs Animal and F-200 classes. The 2006 Fast Lane Racing School Scholarship is still up for grabs to the Senior High points Champion. Once again, Briggs and Stratton Motorsports will be giving a new World Formula engine package to a lucky karter. Briggs has given an engine away at every race this season.
