| Series News: WKA Gold Cup West |

Round 2 of the 2006 WKA Briggs and Stratton Gold Cup West heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday May 21. This will be the first visit to Vegas for the WKA’s West Coast premier 4 cycle Karting championship series.
The weekend’s host Las Vegas Kart Club has announced a special practice session that will be held on Saturday evening before the race. The session will be held from 4:00- 9:00 PM. This will give Gold Cup West competitors some extra laps to set there equipment up for the challenging race course.
The Gold Cup West will once again be giving away a new Briggs and Stratton World Formula engine package to a lucky entrant. David Lowe took home the loot at Grange, who will get lucky at Vegas? Thanks to Briggs and Stratton Motorsports for making this possible.
The 2006 Fast Lane Racing School Scholarship is up for grabs. After the first race at Grange Eric Nelson, Steven Clark and Travis Lowe are in a dead heat for the ride all with 208 championship points. It will be a battle to last lap of the last race in 06 to see who gets to pilot the race prepared Scion TC around the world famous Willow Springs Road course.
