SUNDAY, APRIL 10
Osborne, Eastty leave Round #1 on top
J.R. Osborne saved his best lap for last as he went on to win the Formula E final at the first round of the U.S. Superkart Championship at the Barber Motorsports Park. In a heated battle that went down to the penultimate lap, Texan Derek Eastty scored the win in the Intercontinental E division.

SATURDAY, APRIL 9
Widmoser takes heat race win, Kiker on top in ICE
Defending United States Superkart Championship Intercontinental E champion Andy Kiker made a statement today at the Barber Motorsports Park with a win today in the Prefinal. The New Jersey resident ran the quickest lap of the race (1:29.900) in his Anderson prepped Honda CR package, becoming the first kart to officially break the 1:30 mark. Frank Widmoser ran consistent throughout the 30 minute race aboard his Nemesis chassis without any mistakes to grab the Formula E Prefinal win in what would be an attrition event.

FRIDAY, APRIL 8
Practice gets under way after long delays
Things finally got underway today for the United States Superkart Championship at the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The program was delayed first thing in the morning as showers fell over the facility, postponing practice until sometime after 11:30am. After two sessions for both the Superkarts and the Big South Road Racing Series (BSRRS) classes, a non-driving accident on the facility delayed practice another half hour, putting the teams under pressure finding the right setup before qualifying at the end of the day.

THURSDAY, APRIL 7
The season gets underway at Barber this weekend for Superkart drivers
A new era in 250cc superkart racing will begin this weekend as the first round of the United States Superkart Championship gets rolling at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The three-day event will run in conjunction with the Big South Road Racing Series (BSRRS), a strong supporter of the 250 scene.
