Championship Enduro Series Grattan Raceway – TaG USA update

Easykart made an impressive 1-2 punch at the first road race TaG USA event hosted by the Championship Enduro Series (CES) and Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) at Grattan Raceway, a two mile road course located in Belding, Michigan last weekend.
Brian Kay from T2Racekarts piloted an Easykart to a first place finish Saturday narrowly edging out Eric Chappell from The Karting Zone in his Rotax. Dennis Chappell rounded out the top five running an Easykart.
Sunday’s event was day two with The Karting Zone karts capturing first and second place finishes as Eric Chappell overtook Brian Kuppers’ Easykart while exiting turn 10 just in time to take the checker for the first place finish in his Rotax. Chappell and Kuppers battled throughout the 30 minute race as they slowly created a sizeable lead over the remainder of the field. This was Kuppers’ first outing in an Easykart and he found himself competitive from the drop of the green flag…proving that the performance and simplicity of the Easykart allows the driver to display talents and not rely so strongly on the motor/set-up.
This was The Karting Zone’s first road race event for the Easykart package and it proved once again to be a strong package that is tough to beat on any track layout. Even with the lack of water-cooling, the motor continued to perform for the 30 min. road race at speeds nearing the 100 mph mark.
