G & J Kartway Hosts Successful Weekend for Horstman Gold Cup Competitors
The MCP Brakes Nationals was declared a success with over 400 entries at G & J Kartway this past July 4th weekend. The event was one of the largest summer national events for the Horstman Gold Cup Series and the largest G & J Kartway has ever hosted.
Double winners this weekend included Scott Rettich, Kyle Capodice, Austyn Fugle, Eric Winkle, and Justin Cassity. Winning their class at both Rockingham and G & J Kartway include Chuck Gafrarar in Briggs Super Controlled, Kyle Capodice in Briggs Jr Sportsman 1 Lite, Ryan Cassity in Briggs Lite, and Justin Cassity in Briggs Heavy.
The point's season is now half over. Horstman Gold Cup competitors will be heading to BeaveRun Motorsports Complex for the ING Direct Nationals in August then to Lowe's Motor Speedway for the GT Machine Grand Nationals for the North American Karting Championships at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
