| Industry News: P1 Engines Expands to Larger Shop |
| |
Leading the points in some of North America's major series including the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturer's Cup and the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour, P1 Engines' increase in the industry has been on an upward trend since early 2010. With more and more customers making the switch to the winningest TaG engine builder in this year's SKUSA Pro Tour, P1 Engines has made the decision to change locations to a bigger and better facility.
"This is something very big for me and my program," stated Jesus Vasquez, Owner of P1 Engines. "The new facility has more than enough office and shop space, which will allow us to be even more organized, efficient and prepared before heading to the races."
Just coming off a move about two years ago P1 Engines didn't anticipate the growth and tried their best to make the small space work but at the end decided it was time to move. The new shop is located right of the I10 and I15 Freeway, close to California Speedway.
The new 1800 square foot facility is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California and will be the new home of P1 Engines. With rooms available to compose their layout as needed, P1 Engines will have an air conditioned assembly room with dis-assembly area in the back, something that they have wanted for quite some time. More space also allows for a larger dyno room, for an engine shelf and dyno prep workbench.
With the added space P1 Engnes will add a person in the office and a person in the dis-assembly area to help speed up the engine turn around rate.
