| WKA Membership Meeting Set for December 27 at DIS Media Center |

The 2012 WKA Membership Meeting will take place on Thursday, December 27 at the Daytona International Speedway Media Center, which is next to the Fan Zone in the infield near the start/finish line of the superspeedway.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m.
The meeting agenda will include:
• A presentation by WKA President Rick Dresang on the state of the Association
• A discussion of proposals for reorganizing WKA to make it more efficient and effective and to better respond to membership requirements
• A Question and Answer session with the WKA Officers and Trustees present
The meeting will also provide an opportunity for members to cast their vote for two proposed Code of Regulations changes. In summary these two Code of Regulations proposals will:
• Allow WKA Master Members to nominate and vote for Trustees and to vote on Code of Regulations amendments by electronic ballot as well as mail. The objective of this change is to provide more voting options for our Master Members and increase participation.
• Allow WKA Trustees to approve meeting minutes and vote on motions by electronic ballot. The objective is to take advantage of the latest information technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Daytona KartWeek Thursday load-in day schedule announced
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Thursday, December 27 is "load-in" day at Daytona International Speedway for the 2012 version of WKA Daytona KartWeek.
WKA and DIS officials have finalized Thursday's parking schedule for the three series in attendance.
Wednesday Dec. 26 Trailer Drop-off
Teams arriving in the Daytona Beach area Wednesday, Dec. 26, can drop their trailers off between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Go to Gate 40 off Williamson Blvd (near dirt track) and DIS security will escort you to a designated lot to drop trailer.
Thursday Dec. 27 Event Staging
All competitors will enter the DIS property via Gate 70 (off Midway Blvd) on Thursday and follow signs to the Staging Area. Sponsors and general competitors will separate by series. Pit pass sales will be located at Gate 70 for load-in day only. WKA and DIS personnel will instruct your when and where to enter pit area.
Mazda / Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup Margay Sprint Championships
Man Cup sponsors will move in Thursday at 9 a.m. Competitor parking will be slated to begin at 11 a.m. and run till 6 p.m.
Pre-entry pickup and registration will begin at 3 p.m. and run to 6 p.m. Pre-tech time will be announced at track.
VEGA / TS Racing Road Racing Championships
Road Race sponsors and teams with reserved garages will begin moving in at 8 a.m. Competitor parking will begin at 10 a.m.
Pre-entry pickup and registration will begin at noon and run to 5 p.m. Pre-tech time will be announced at track.
Dirt World Championships
Dirt sponsors will begin move in at 11 a.m. Thursday. General competitor parking will begin at noon.
Pre-entry pickup and registration will begin at 2 p.m. and run to 5 p.m. Pre-tech time will be announced at track.
