| Article by: floridawintertour.com |
Formula Kart Productions, the exclusive owner and promoter of the popular Florida Winter Tour kart racing program, clarified today the technical regulations that will be used for the January rounds of the FWT Rotax Max Challenge events.
FKP’s Bill Wright: “I’d like to thank Josh Smith from MAXSpeed Group and Andy Seesemann from CotA, and our respective technical support staffs, for working together to make some important decisions regarding the Rotax technical regulations to be used at the 2013 FWT. Working together we can provide consistency across all our programs and that further strengthens the already incredibly strong Rotax kart racing program in North America.”
The 2013 FWT will not implement the recently announced 2013 Rotax Technical Regulations, but will continue with the 2012 Rotax Technical Regulations, as posted on the FWT web site, until further notice.
The 2013 FWT will implement the use of the Mini Max rev limiter, beginning with the first rounds at Palm Beach. For details regarding the Mini Max rev limiter and its implementation contact Josh Smith of MAXSpeed Group.
The Florida Winter Tour is one of the world’s largest, longest running and most geographically diverse kart racing programs. The 2012 FWT featured over 400 drivers from 28 countries and all six karting continents, and for the 5th consecutive year was the world’s largest official Rotax Max Challenge series.
