| Industry News: Racing for Tourettes Welcomes Design Partners Oktane Visual and DB Motorsports |
| |
Racing for Tourettes is proud to welcome onboard new design partners Oktane Visual and DB Motorsports.
Led by racer T.J. Koyen, Oktane Visual has burst onto the scene with some of racing's most cutting edge helmet designs. Koyen combines modern style, tasteful design, and excellent service to give each and every customer their own unique identity.
Brian McHattie’s DB Motorsports has seen great success as a family run race team, recently expanding to become a full service kart shop utilizing the Exprit chassis and OTK products. The sign shop @ DB Motorsports boasts over 10 years of graphic design experience, using only the highest quality materials to meet your graphic design needs.
Co-founder of Racing for Tourettes Trey Shannon is excited to embark on this new partnership with both Oktane Visual and DB Motorsports. "T.J. and Brian are some of the best in the business when it comes to giving your team a fresh, distinguished look. T.J.’s helmets are the best I’ve seen, and I'm extremely excited about the new Tourettes Awareness themed lid he's got me sporting for our next event," said Trey. “It’s also pretty well known that Brian’s DB Motorsports drivers have some of the best looking karts on the grid, so I’m excited to see what he comes up with for our 24 Hour Challenge next month.”
T.J. Koyen and Oktane Visual are also amped up about their new partnership with Racing for Tourettes. "After seeing Trey's record run last year I was thinking I wanted to get involved," Koyen explained. "Trey's world record runs provide an awesome opportunity to showcase Oktane's capabilities. This is such a cool undertaking and for such a good cause and I'm just happy to be a part of it."
Racing for Tourettes’ new partnerships will both be on display at the upcoming 24 Hour Challenge, an event in which Trey Shannon will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for distance in a solo driver 24 hour indoor kart drive. Oktane Visual has designed a Tourettes Awareness themed helmet specifically for this event. Along with the new lid, Shannon’s Sodi RX7 will be sporting a fresh DB Motorsports graphics kit.
The record attempt is set to take place December 14-15 at The Pit Indoor Kart Racing in Mooresville, NC. To raise funds for this event and to continue raising awareness for Tourette Syndrome, Racing for Tourettes is hosting a Racers Raffle with prizes including a 2-Day driving course at Bondurant, GoPro HERO3 Camera, Bell GP2 Helmet, and a number of other great prizes. Tickets are $25 each, 3 for $50, or 5 for $75 at http://www.treyshannon.com. Winners will be announced on treyshannon.com shortly after the 24 Hour Challenge event. |
