| Karting Mourning Loss of East Lansing Kart Track's Bobby Haun |

WKA is mourning the loss today of Robert "Bobby" Haun of the Lansing, Mich.-based Haun family, the owners and operators of the East Lansing Kart Track.
Bobby Haun, 46, was killed in Orlando, Fla., early Sunday morning when he was hit by a Ford van while attempting to walk across International Drive. Haun was in Orlando for the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show.
The Haun family has owned and managed the East Lansing Kart Track, a past WKA Gold Cup Series venue and longtime WKA-sanctioned sprint track, since the 1960s. Bobby Haun worked as the principal operator and manager of East Lansing in recent years.
According to family friend and WKA Road Racing competitor Mike Tracy, Bill Haun Sr., Bobby's father, was WKA's first paid official and one of WKA national racing's earliest sprint competitors. Haun Sr. also is a past WKA Trustee.
Bobby raced in the Manufacturers Cup Series for a number of years and is a past Grand National champion.
Bobby leaves behind a wife, two daughters and a son.
