After a long season that started at Daytona in December and ended at New Castle earlier this month, Kyle Kalish was able to capture two National Championships. Kyle will take home the Yamaha Jr Heavy and the Komet Jr Lite WKA Manufacturers Cup titles. He also finished second in Komet Jr Heavy and fourth in Yamaha Jr Lite. “It’s a little disappointing to be so close to a Triple Crown, but I’m really happy to end my Junior career with two National Championships. The best Junior drivers in the country race this series, so I’m very proud of our accomplishments. I would also like to congratulate Mike McAndrews and Ashley Rogero on their championships. We had great battles all year and the championships came down to the last race.”
“None of this could have been possible without the help and support from my Dad, who worked his tail off all year to keep my Merlin chassis up front and make sure I kept my focus. I would also like to thank George and Jamie Sieracki from Franklin Motorsports , if it wasn’t for their support and friendship we never would have had all the success we enjoyed this year, Gary and Daniel Woltjer from Woltjer Racing Engines for supplying me with the horsepower, Tomar Clutches, Gary Osterholt of GO Designs and everybody who’s ever helped me out. Also need to thank my Mom and Sister for all their support.”
Kyle will now be working on securing sponsorship for the SuperNats and preparing for the RoboPong Jr race before officially becoming a Senior. For more information about Kyle or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please visit http://www.kylekalish.com or e-mail kyle@kylekalish.com |
