The Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix is rapidly becoming a ‘must-attend’ event in the sport of karting. The fourth edition of the street race is set to be contested next weekend – on September 15-16 - in the ‘Boulevard’ district of the Southern California city. A three-day festival is centered around the Grand Prix and will bring thousands of motorsports enthusiasts and interested residents to the track to see karting for the first time. In partnership with Superkarts! USA and the City of Lancaster, eKartingNews.com will stream all the action from the sixth round of the California ProKart Challenge directly to your laptop or mobile device through our audio ‘Trackside Live’ program.
The EKN Trackside Live coverage is now in its fourth season, visiting six headline events already in 2012. The program - reachable by visiting http://www.ekartingnews.com/live - includes the live play-by-play race call from EKN’s owner/publisher and veteran race announcer Rob Howden and live timing provided by Race-Monitor.com, coupled with instant updates to the site’s official event discussion forum thread, Facebook and Twitter. The EKN Trackside Live coverage for the two-day Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix will begin on Saturday morning as opening ceremonies are set for 11:30 am PDT, breaking right into qualifying at 12:15 pm. The first round of heat races will immediately follow. Coverage will continue on Sunday with the second round of heat races beginning at 10:15 am PDT. Following a lunch break, coverage continues for the main events, set to start at 12:30 pm PDT.
