| Driver News: Margay East Team Driver Jimmy Fatum Clinches New Jersey Sprint Series Championship |
| |

 | | Jimmy Fatum |
Margay East driver Jimmy Fatum recently clinched the New Jersey Sprint Series TAG Masters championship winning the first 7 races of the series aboard his 2011 Margay Brava Limo chassis. His Cook Racing Engines Leopard motor was strong at all 3 tracks on the NJSS schedule. New Jersey Motorsports Park, Raceway Park, and Oakland Valley Raceway Park are totally different types of tracks with their own unique characteristics yet our Brava Limo was fast at all three. The biggest tuning decision each race weekend was whether to take out the third bearing bolts or leave them in!
Jimmy would like to thank Margay Racing, Cook Racing Engines, Action Kart Supply, and the Bertil Roos Racing School for supporting our racing efforts this year. Without their support we could not have won our second NJSS Regional Championship. At 6’2” 200 pounds Jimmy will be looking to move up to cars in 2013 after completing the Bertil Roos 5 Day Road Racing class this summer and getting his SCCA license.
A special thanks to Grand Products for sponsoring the series, the staff and track workers at all 3 tracks, and the Ferris family for their commitment to karting all these years! The NJSS is the premier WKA divisional race series thanks to the Ferris’s and their staff and it is where “champions are born”. |
