MSA National Court of Appeal Submit Decision on CIK-FIA European KF2 Karting Championship

The MSA's National Court of Appeal has handed down its decision in the case of the appeal brought by the Competitor Intrepid following Max Verstappen's time penalty, pronounced by the Panel of Stewards of the Meeting after the A-F qualifying heat of the English event in the CIK-FIA European KF2 Karting Championship run on 22 July 2012.

The MSA's National Court of Appeal concluded that the appeal that had been announced by the Competitor was dropped on account of his failure to bring the appeal within the time limit set out in Article 182 of the International Sporting Code.

The penalty imposed on the Driver Max Verstappen by the Panel of Stewards of the Meeting is therefore confirmed.

Consequently, the results obtained by this Driver in Races 1 and 2 cannot be taken into account for the Championship classification because of his incorrect position on the starting grid.
