| Driver News: Harry Coulton Has Sights on US Micro Max Title |

After taking the title of Micro Max Vice-Champion earlier this year at the prestigious Florida Winter Tour, nine-year-old Harry Coulton will look to add Champion to his list of accomplishments this week. Taking to the Jet Karting of Michiana Raceway Park (MRP) facility in South Bend, Indiana, Coulton will be battling for the Micro Max championship during the 2012 Rotax Max Challenge United States Grand Nationals.
Recently taking home two podium finishes at the Rotax Summer Shootout at the same facility, Coulton enters as one of the favorites to take the title. The MRP Motorsports/Birel driver showcased a brilliant come-from-behind second place podium finish during the Saturday of the Shootout, while Sunday saw the rising star post the second quickest lap in qualifying, just 0.060 seconds off the pace, as well as fast lap in the prefinal en route to another podium finish in the day's final.
Also earning several podium finishes in his local Rotax Max Challenge series, Coulton has been on top of his game and is ready to take on the national scene. In fact, the Lakeland, Florida resident has been on the podium of every Rotax Max Challenge race he has competed in this year, and Coulton is determined to continue that streak this week with his ultimate goal to finish the event with a trip to the top step of the podium.
Unofficial event practice is slated for Monday and Tuesday of this week, with official practice kicking off Wednesday, August 8. Thursday will see Coulton on track for qualifying as well as the first wheel-to-wheel action with heat one, while heats two and three are set for Friday. The event will come down to Saturday, August 11 when Coulton will take in prefinal action before the all-important main event, which will decide the 2012 US Grand National Champions.
