| Komet Throwdown Purse Increased to $3900 This Saturday at Concept Haulers Motor Speedway |

The 4th Annual Kartsport Motorsports Komet Throwdown will be held this Saturday evening following the Route 66 Sprint Series event at Concept Haulers Motor Speedway (CHMS) in Norway, IL. A recently announced purse increase will see the feature winner bagging $1000 cash. Last year’s event saw 27 drivers battle for the coveted sword trophy as well as cash prizes. The format this year will be the same as the 2011 Throwdown. Thirty minutes of practice will be followed by a 10 minute open qualifying session, a six lap Dash For Cash and the 25 lap feature held under the lights. Practice will start around 5:00 pm after completion of the Route 66 Series Saturday races. The Komet Piston Port spec engine package with WKA rules at 350 pounds class weight will be utilized.
An increased purse and more prizes have just been announced.
Pole award: $100 cash and a set of Bridgestone Tires from Margay Racing
Dash for Cash: $200 cash and a set of Bridgestone Tires from Grand Products
Feature winner: $1000 cash, $500 Komet Bucks certificate and a Sword Trophy
Second place: $500 cash and $250 Komet Bucks certificate
Third place: $400 cash and $125 Komet Bucks certificate
Fourth place: $200 cash and $75 Komet Bucks certificate
Fifth place: $100 cash and $50 Komet Bucks certificate
