Rising karting star Sabré Cook will continue her quest for a Superkarts! USA Pro Tour championship as the series continues this weekend (June 20-22) at the SKUSA SummerNationals. The Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah will be the site of this year’s event, a familiar circuit for the CRG-USA pilot. The Grand Junction, Colorado native enters the weekend as the championship leader - the first female to do so in Pro Tour history - in the S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto category, coming off a successful opening SpringNationals.

The 2012 season has been stellar for Cook thus far. Improving in her Rotax racecraft during the winter months set up for what has been an impressive string of events in the Stock Moto category. The SpringNationals in April showed the talent Sabré possesses, earning a pole position, heat race win, two feature runner-up finishes and fast lap honors over the two days of competition at the PKRA facility in Phoenix.

Cook backed that up in similar fashion over two events for the Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge during May and June. First at her home track in Grand Junction, Colorado, Sabré scored her first feature win of the season with a dominant performance during the second day of action. The following month at the Miller Motorsports Park, Cook was the quickest driver throughout the weekend and stood on the podium both days. She currently leads the series championship as well, with the finale event to come later in the season.

“We’ve had great success the past few months,” stated Cook. “I was able to produce consistent results at the SpringNationals to put us in the title chase, I earned my first feature win of the season in May, and our weekend at Miller went very well. With the staff here at CRG-USA, the CRG components and SRS Stock Honda, we have all the right pieces to keep me in the point lead after the SummerNationals. My ultimate goal however is to win this weekend.”

Cook would like to thank her racing support program; CRG-USA, Grand Junction Motor Speedway, K1 RaceGear, MG Tires, Zamp Helmets, Xtreme Colors Helmet Painting, Alpine Bank, Gold’s Gym, JH Precision Machine, Enstrom’s Candies.
