| Team News: New Team GMZ Race Products on Formula K |

GMZ Race products are a relatively new kart wheel manufacture. GMZ has been testing their new magnesium race wheels since the Florida Winter tour in January. Their wheels have been raced on many brands of karts and have already won some races with driver Jake Craig from Southern California. Owner of GMZ Scott Gordinier worked for the founder of DWT Douglas Henline for years before forming his own wheel and tire company.
GMZ Race Products is now the west coast distributor of the Formula K products through Champion Racing. GMZ drivers are officially announced for the new Team GMZ Formula K. In the Senior divisions Jake Craig makes the mid season move to Formula K qualifying on the pole and winning both heat races before having trouble in the final at the Pro Kart race on June 22nd and 23rd at Buttonwillow. Jake Craig will be looking to improve on his finishing at this weekends SKUSA SummerNationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Jake Craig and tuner Scott Gordinier still have some momentum from the Rotax Grand Finals in Dubai UAE where Jake qualified 9th overall for Team USA in JR MAX. Craig leaves July 31st to head east for the WKA race at Norway Illinois. From there Craig will travel to the Rotax Nationals in South Bend Indiana where he will try to qualify and lock down a spot for the Team USA trip to this years Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. Craig says this is really his focus in the next month to come.
For the Junior divisions GMZ signs up Brenden Baker for the Pro Tour race at Miller Motorsports Park. Brenden has been running well all season and is looking to be a contender on the new Formula K. Baker is one of the top in points entering this event and wants this to be his break through win of 2012. Look for both of these drivers to be up front at this weekends SKUSA SummerNationals.
