| Event News: SLKA Kid Kart Nationals - David Ragan Ford Title Sponsorship |

David Ragan gives his thoughts on the Kid Kart Nationals. As the title sponsor for this year’s event David Ragan Ford’s owner and NASCAR driver, gave his thoughts about supporting the Kid Kart Nationals. In an interview with event coordinator Mark Freeman, David said, “Having been in this position myself 8-10 years ago, it’s easy to see that these young drivers are the next generation of professional racers, crew chiefs, and mechanics in this sport.”
While David did not grow up racing karts he was never far from it. Inspired by his father, Ken Ragan, he went from Bandoleros, to late model racing, and eventually to professional stock car racing. His Father Ken, also a NASCAR driver, was a WKA Champion in 1978. The Kid Kart Nationals is what it is today because of support from people like David who understand that the future of racing in this country starts with these kid kart drivers.
