| Track News: Charity Kart Challenge and Saturday Morning Enduro This Weekend at PGP |
| |
The weekend is almost here and PGP is the place you'll want to be for exciting endurance racing action with the 3rd annual Pacific Northwest Historics Kart Challenge supporting Seattle Children's Hospital and the latest Saturday Morning Rental Enduro as well as Open Rentals.
Friday: Doing good has never been more fun!
On Friday, June 29, PGP is proud to host the 3rd annual Pacific Northwest Historics Kart Challenge. From 5-9 p.m. more than 100 drivers will compete to record the most laps completed and most money raised to offset uncompensated care at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Come out and cheer on the teams — pit passes for spectators are $5 — as they attempt to beat the $50,000 raised last year to support this worthy cause. The racing action on the track will only be matched by the fun in the paddock, proof that PGP is the ideal fundraising site for any organization.
The Kart Challenge at PGP Motorsports Park is part of the 24th annual Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Auto Races presented by the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN) and SOVREN Guild to be held June 29, 30 and July 1 at nearby Pacific Raceways.
Saturday: Got what it takes to race 90 minutes to glory?
The latest Saturday Morning Rental Enduro kicks off at 9 a.m. Come alone and be an Ironman or grab a couple friends to make a team, but either way you'll get one practice session before a 90-minute endurance race to the checkered flag. Karts are assigned by random draw and we'll continue the popular practice of alternating karts after each pit stop for parity. Also, we use ballast weight to ensure everyone is on an even playing field.
The popularity of these races has skyrocketed, so pre-registration is strongly encouraged by email, fax or in person, using the forms on our website. Cost per person is based on number of drivers on the team: Three-person team/cost per driver: $50 member, $60 non-member; two-person team/cost per driver: $75 member, $85 non-member; one-person team: $125 member, $135 non-member.
Saturday & Sunday: Have some exciting fun, inches off the ground
Looking for something fun and exciting to do by yourself or with family and friends? You can't beat the excitement of racing one of our Birel rental karts around PGP's state-of-the-art track.
We'll have Open Rental sessions from 11:30 a.m. to dusk on Saturday and 9 a.m-5:30 p.m. on Sunday. We make it easy for you to get the most from your karting experience whether you're a first-timer or old hand. Show up and we'll take care of everything else, with our friendly staff on hand to assist you every step of the way.
