Team Hornborg Racing pilots Alex and Mikey Hornborg will be back on track for the next two weekends as they continue on with their local Florida events in both the North Florida Rotax Max Challenge (NFRMC) and the Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS). While Alex has been on a high as of late, younger brother Mikey will look to return to the track and garner the necessary punches to compete in July's United States Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals.

Taking to the Ocala Gran Prix facility this coming weekend for the second round of the NFRMC, Alex will look to carry the momentum from a strong podium run at the latest Florida Karting Championship Series event. Showing speed to run with some of the top drivers in the country, Alex will once again see action in the talented Rotax Junior field of drivers.

Making a possible return to the track this weekend will be younger brother Mikey as he will get back behind the wheel of an Ocala Gran Prix prepared Rotax Mini Max. After suffering a broken wrist at the second round of the Florida Winter Tour at the Homestead Karting Complex, Mikey has been itching to get back in a kart and compete at the highest level.

"Both my brother and I will be at the track on Thursday as we look to get some test time before the next two weekends of action," expressed Alex Hornborg. "Mikey will do some laps on Thursday to ensure his arm is good and he is ready to compete while I will continue to get the necessary seat time to improve my racing program."

Both Alex and Mikey will enjoy little time off, as the duo will travel south the following weekend to the fourth round of the Florida Karting Championship Series. Taking place at the tight and twisty Andersen Race Park in Palmetto, Florida, Alex will look to further his recent success and make a run at the overall series championships in both the TaG Junior and Rotax Junior divisions while Mikey will look to jump-start his Rotax Mini Max season.

Alex added, "We will continue our support of The Kidney Trust as we did at the recent Florida Winter Tour by taking donations towards the program. Anyone interested in donating is asked to please come find my brother, myself or any member of my family."

About The Kidney Trust:
The Kidney TRUST aims to benefit the 31 million American adults living with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), as well as the 506,000 Americans with kidney failure that require dialysis or a kidney transplant. The TRUST was formed to increase awareness of kidney disease through public education and testing programs so that progression of CKD to kidney failure can be delayed or prevented.

The Kidney TRUST was founded in 2006 by DaVita Inc., a leading provider of kidney care in the United States. The Kidney TRUST is an independent, nonprofit organization that believes everyone should be empowered to take a proactive role in their health. Toward that end, the TRUST is seeking to reduce the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) through free, rapid screening in non-medical settings and to provide financial assistance to people affected by CKD.
