| Club News: Hill Country Kart Club - Texas Chonda Short Sprint Cup |
| |
Hill Country Kart Club is celebrating 25-years of racing at its current track, and over 50-years as a club. Join us on April 21st and 22nd for the “Texas Chonda Short Sprint Cup”, a fun two day event with a BBQ on Saturday, heat races on Sunday followed by the announcement for the winner of a brand new 2012 Margay Brava 4.2c Clone package (spec engine, CL1i cam).
It has been an exciting 25-years, and shortly the club will start work on an expansion to the track and facilities. Currently this sprint track features six turns, ¼ mile in length, and a challenging technical section that does suit clone restrictor plate racing excellently. You are able to run two wide in most of the corners and battle for position that sometimes might take a few corners to finally make the pass stick! Cadet Chonda, Junior Chonda, spec Chonda, and an open Chonda/Honda class will be run - rules posted on website.
Practice and qualifying on Saturday followed by a BBQ, Sunday will feature two heat races of 12-laps each, and a final of 20-laps. Awards payout in both of the senior classes, low entry fees ($35.00 for Juniors, $50.00 for adults, $5.00 two-day passes), kart raffle tickets available at the track. Snack Shack will be open both days for breakfast and lunch; engines can be run after 9:00am. More information at http://www.HillCountryKartClub.com , online registration is open. |
