Devin Boutot Picked up a pole and 2 wins this weekend at Ft Myers race complex

“We had an unbelievable weekend “said Devin. It was great to pull off the win in micro max against a great competitor like Nicholas Bruckner and keep my winning streak going. This was my 3rd win in 3 races and my goal is to try to win them all. But I think the most important win this weekend was in comer. This is my hardest class. Most of the kids I run against were in this class when I was in my kid kart. To be up front with these much older kids at the early stages of my comer years is already an accomplishment especially since I have 3 more years in this class after this one. None of this could have been done with out my dads tuning, My moms support, and the help of two great people in my life Jim Rogero and Kevin Perry. With out the help of all these people and the support of my friends None of this would be possible.

Sat recap: On sat morning Nicholas Bruckner took the pole with Boutot qualifying 2nd. In the pre final Boutot pushed Bruckner for the first half of the race far away from the other drivers then made the move for the lead. With Boutot’s car getting tight in the final 3 laps Bruckner would make the move for the pre final win. In the final Boutot pushed Bruckner again for first half of the race away from the other drivers. With the large lead of the front two drivers Boutot made the move for the lead and never looked back for the 2nd half of the race to take his third FKCS Micro Max win in a row.

Sun Recap: Boutot would start off the morning with a great qualifying run in Cadet Sportsman that scored him the pole. In the pre final he would take the lead with Seve Depinto pushing. The two drivers pulled away from the field being the only drivers in the 36 second bracket. In the final lap Depinto made the pass for the win with Boutot in second. In the Final Boutot took the lead on lap 3 and had Depinto Pushing again. With the flawless driving of the two they pulled a large lead from the rest of the pack. As they came to the white flag Depinto made a great pass for the lead but Boutot was not done yet. As they came out of the final turn Boutot made a move to the inside to drag race Depinto for his first FKCS Comer win of the season.

Devin Boutot is 9 years old and lives in Naples FL. His goals are to get as much seat time as possible to pre pair him self to be a contender in the upcoming Rotax Grand Nationals as well as next years WKA nationals. Devin unfortunately has skipped most of the large events this year hopping to gather enough funds to compete for the up coming events.
