GT7 Motorsports, along with team driver Dylan Tavella, looks to end off the final weekend of Florida Winter Tour Formula Kart classes with solid finishes. Heading north from Miami, the FWT will finish off the year at the Ocala Gran Prix where the final double-header weekend will be run to determine the class champion. Tavella and the team had a chance to test at the flowing Ocala facility during their school break. Working with tuner/coach Gary Willis, Tavella is up to speed and ready to fight for podiums. The three-weekend Formula Kart classes portion of the Florida Winter Tour has been strong all year and Tavella has been steadily moving up the order.

"Testing went really well for everyone on the GT7 Motorsports team. It worked out great that Dylan's school break was the week after Homestead. We headed straight there from Homestead and got in a couple of great days," commented Phil Tavella, GT7 Team Principal. "Dylan and Gary worked on kart set-up and some driving stuff. We made some changes that really helped a lot. I really think it will be a good weekend for Dylan."

Tavella will be back in Ocala this week to prepare for the weekend of racing. He will be joined by driver coach Willis and long time tuner Bob Radivoy. The nine-year-old racer ran strong during the last round of Mini Rok racing at Homestead as the trio look to keep improving with each session. The Tony Kart cadet package has been solid so far in 2012. Tavella ran for the first time at Ocala last season and looks to use that experience this weekend. Tavella heads into the weekend of racing action 15th in the championship point standings in his rookie season of Mini Rok competition.

"I'm really looking to get back in the kart. We had some tough luck in Homestead. The testing was really good and working with Gary was great," comments Dylan Tavella. "I really want to do well to end off the season. This weekend is a lot about getting ready for the Micro Max weekend. I like Ocala and hope to do well."

Tavella and the entire GT7 Motorsports crew will arrive at Ocala Gran Prix this week to take part in the final weekend of Formula Kart classes. Tavella and teammate Anthony Gangi Jr. will take to the ultra smooth Ocala track in Vortex Mini Rok followed by the Rotax classes a week later.

The GT7 Motorsport team is proud to be a Tony Kart and Vortex engines dealer as well as a Rotax Max Service Center for the US North East. A new team website will be launched shortly with a complete e-commerce application.
