The International Circuit in Ortona (Chieti, Italy) has been the location for a spectacular weekend of international karting: living up to expectations, the WSK Final Cup has presented hotly contested races such as today’s Finals.

KZ1 CROWNS BAS LAMMERS WHEREAS MIRKO TORSELLINI IS KZ2 LEADER
Dutch Bas Lammers (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) has reached his goal of winning KZ1 by possibly performing better than ever before. The shortlist indeed included one more strong opponent such as Patrick Hajek (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) being unbeatable up to the Pre-final that the driver from Czech Republic had won leading over his class big champions. In the Final, Bas Lammers showed his mettle and from the start engaged a hard duel against Hajek that he beat at last. The Dutch driver succeeded then in distancing from the pack whereas Hajek was forced to stop before long. A forceful Roberto Toninelli (Lenzo-TM-Dunlop) from Brescia pushed therefore and took the second place ahead of his fellow citizen Marco Ardig̣ (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop). In KZ2, the Final was positive for Mirko Torsellini (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop), who was consistently ahead of Dutch Joey Hanssen (Lenzo-TM-Dunlop) and Marco Zanchetta from Treviso (KR-TM-Dunlop). The latter has honourably ended a weekend always at the top that he has consolidated with a win in Pre-final.

DENNIS OLSEN A NEW KF2 TOP DRIVER
Winning convincingly the Final at his second race, Norway Dennis Olsen (Energy-TM-Vega) proved to be a leading driver in his class. Only Romanian Tomi Dragan (Lenzo-LKE-Vega) made an attempt on his leadership and took the lead halfway through the race. Olsen switched then places to his advantage and achieved victory. It was Russian Egor Orudzhev (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) to complete the podium after recovering from half-formation.

NICKLAS NIELSEN WINS KF3
Danish Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) emerged victorious from a battle between young lions but he was certain of winning only passing the post. As a matter of fact, it was quite impossible to spot a winner during the race, since both Nielsen, Monegasque Charles Leclerc, British George Russel (both on an Intrepid-Vega) and Swedish Robin Hansson (Energy-TM-Vega), contending for victory, have been alternately in and out of lead throughout the race. Only the last corners before the post were decisive for a result, which added poignancy to the challenge. Moving up from third place, Nielsen took the lead ahead of Leclerc and Kirill Karpov (Tony Kart-BMB-Vega).

TRAVISANUTTO CLOSES THE SEASON WINNING 60 MINI
Lorenzo Travisanutto has beaten a large competition in 60 Mini, namely as many as 64 drivers. The young driver from Pordenone, Italy, achieved victory first dominating Pre-final and then contending for the lead in Final. The final phase was crucial this time too, with Travisanutto snatching the leadership from Turkish Berkay Besler (Top Kart-LKE-Vega) that has been equally good in leading most of the race. Italian driver was successful only two laps from the end, the moment in which Romanian Marcu Dionisios (Top Kart-LKE-Vega) was achieving a well-deserved third place after a recovery from 12.
