| Event Update - SKUSA Long Track Nationals |

There are a few updates regarding the SKUSA Long Track Nationals to be held at Sandia Motorsports Park August 1-3 in Albuquerque, N.M.
New Class Additions
TaG, Touch and Go has been added to the class line up. Drivers must be age 16 and up with weights set for Rotax FR125 engines at 385 pounds, Parilla Leopard at 390, BM at 385, Biland at 390 , Sonik at 385 Vortex at 400 and the Italsistem at 415 pounds. All on YHC/USA
80cc Junior was also accidentally left off the original roster and will compete under current SKUSA rules utilizing Bridgestone YHC compound tires.
Special Event Promotion- Merloy DSR Sports Car
A special promotion showcasing the new Merloy Racing DSR single seat sports car will take place through an exhibition and raffle draw where participants can purchase a chance or multiple chances for a 10 lap run at $20 each. The winner will get their 10 laps on the same course the LTNs will compete on in the chassis designed by Alan Mertens, Mike Merloy and Al Unser, Jr.
Merloy Racing, with the support of SKUSA and Stack, show off two examples of Merloys DSR during the event. The company will exhibit a full-bodied and a bare chassis example of their new racer. The full-bodied car will provide the appearance of the car as it is ready to race and the bare chassis showing all the suspension components and internal mechanisms. Event entry forms offer complete details of the raffle draw and the test session conducted in mid-August. . Merloy will also offer racers the opportunity to try the car out in their own promotion of the chassis later on in the month of August.
The Long Track Nationals is continuing to gain interest among racers for the program which has undergone revitalization from years past.
About Sandia Motorsports Park
Located just west of Interstate 25 and south of Interstate 40 on the west side of Albuquerque
Track is 1.2 miles in length; incorporating 10 turns and new (opened in May of 2000)
Surface is glass smooth and is 36 feet wide at narrowest point; 75 feet at widest point
Portions of the half-mile 10° banked speedway oval is incorporated into the road course
Numerous elevations changes at a 6,000 foot altitude, making for a tuners challenge.
Average lap time is 56 seconds, making for some fast and fun racing action
10 acres of groomed flat pit area
Grandstand seating for 4,000 spectators, plus hospitality and entertainment areas
Concessions available between 7 a.m.-2 p.m. each day. (Rumor has it that they make the best breakfast burritos in the southwest!)

Note: ICC and S1 classes require a 12 kart entry count; G1 and FMX require a 15 entry minimum; 125cc Heavy requires a 12 entry minimum; 80cc Junior and 60cc Novice require 10 entry minimum. Promoter reserves the right to adjust payout based on entry levels.
First - $500 cash/check; plus a $200 gift certificate to Genesis Motorsports
